The ECHOMAP UHD2 93sv is a chartplotter and fishfinder combo with a 9 inch touchscreen and a keyed assist. It carries Garmin Navionics+ charts covering US inland waters, and supports traditional, ClearVü and SideVü sonar as well as LiveScope. This version ships without a transducer. It has one 12-pin transducer port, one NMEA 2000 port and one Garmin Marine Network port. Built-in Wi-Fi pairs with the ActiveCaptain app, and it can connect wirelessly to a Garmin Force trolling motor.

Our take

The 93sv has a 12-pin transducer port but no transducer in the box, so the sonar you can use depends on what you buy to go with it. With one NMEA 2000 port and one network port, the connection count is modest, which is worth checking against your boat's gear.

From our buying guide

What's in the box depends on the part number: Raymarine sells one screen display only, with charts, with a transducer, or with both. Not every chart card fits every plotter, either.

Check before you buy:

  • The part number includes the charts and transducer you expect.
  • It reads the charts you want, and you know how long their updates last, since many come with a one-year subscription.
  • A touchscreen suits your helm, since Raymarine warns that prolonged rain or water wash can cause false touches.
