The ECHOMAP UHD2 93sv is a Garmin chartplotter and fishfinder combo with a 9 inch touchscreen that adds a keyed assist for use when a finger isn't practical. It runs three sonar types: Garmin traditional, ClearVü and SideVü, and it also supports LiveScope live-scanning sonar. The box includes the GT56 transducer, so the sonar side is covered from the start. Built-in Wi-Fi pairs with the ActiveCaptain app, multi-band GPS helps position accuracy where signals are weak or reflected, and it can link wirelessly to a Force trolling motor. Connections are one NMEA 2000 port and one Garmin Marine Network port.
Our take
The GT56 transducer in the box means the 9 inch ECHOMAP UHD2 93sv can start working sonar straight away. It has a single NMEA 2000 port and a single Garmin Marine Network port, so a crowded network will need planning, and LiveScope can't be shared wirelessly between two units.
From our buying guide
What's in the box depends on the part number: Raymarine sells one screen display only, with charts, with a transducer, or with both. Not every chart card fits every plotter, either.
Check before you buy:
- The part number includes the charts and transducer you expect.
- It reads the charts you want, and you know how long their updates last, since many come with a one-year subscription.
- A touchscreen suits your helm, since Raymarine warns that prolonged rain or water wash can cause false touches.
