Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 94sv Chartplotter/Fishfinder with GT56 Transducer

Brand:
Garmin
Part no:
010-02689-01

The ECHOMAP UHD2 94sv is a 9 in touchscreen chartplotter and fishfinder with sonar built in. The display is 1024 x 600 pixels. This bundle comes with the GT56UHD-TM transducer and Garmin Navionics+ charts covering U.S. coastal waters. It has one NMEA 2000 port and Garmin Wi-Fi for local connection, and it can wirelessly control a Force trolling motor. Sonar is where it earns its place. Garmin lists 500 W RMS CHIRP transmit power, traditional CHIRP at 50, 77, 83 and 200 kHz, and ClearVü and SideVü at 260 to 1200 kHz. Rated depth is 701 m (2,300 ft) at 77 kHz, though that depends on the transducer, salinity and bottom type. It runs on 9 to 18 Vdc, draws up to 20.7 W, weighs 1.3 kg (2.9 lb) and works from -20 to 55 C. One microSD slot takes cards up to 1 TB.

Our take

This suits a small-boat angler or coastal skipper who wants charts and CHIRP sonar on one 9 in screen, in U.S. waters. Skip it if you cruise outside U.S. coastal coverage, or if the unit will get hosed down or sit exposed, since the IPX7 rating covers only incidental exposure.
