Skipper's Locker

Affiliate disclosure

How we make money, and what it does and doesn't change about what you see.

The short version

Skipper's Locker is free to use. We don't sell anything. When you follow a link from one of our product pages to a retailer and buy something, that retailer may pay us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Every outbound link is an affiliate link

Assume any link that takes you to a retailer earns us a commission. We mark them “(paid link)” next to the button, but rather than have you hunt for the marks, it's simpler to say: that's how all of them work.

What commission does not buy

Retailers cannot pay to appear, to rank higher, or to be described more favourably. We don't accept payment for placement and we don't run sponsored listings.

What is listed is listed because we rate it, full stop. The list is short and chosen by hand, so there is no ranking algorithm to game and no sponsored slot to sell. If that changes — when the catalogue makes ordering a real decision — this page will say exactly how the ordering works before it ships.

We'd rather be worth coming back to than squeeze one extra click, and a site that quietly reorders results for its own benefit is not worth coming back to.

About the prices you see

Prices come from the retailer and are shown with the time we retrieved them. They change often, and the price at checkout is the one that applies. We refresh regularly, but never assume a price here is live to the second — that's why every one carries a timestamp.
