The Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 75sv is a 7-inch chartplotter with a sunlight-readable touchscreen, in its Canada inland and coastal version without a transducer. It carries built-in Navionics+ charts for more than 8,100 lakes with contours down to 1 ft. Wi-Fi lets it share data with another ECHOMAP UHD2, and it supports NMEA 2000 networks and LiveScope sonar systems. Scanning sonars need a separately bought transducer.
Our take
The 75sv ships without a transducer, so its scanning sonar works only once you add one. Built-in Navionics+ charts for Canada and NMEA 2000 support cover navigation and autopilot linking from the start.
From our buying guide
What's in the box depends on the part number: Raymarine sells one screen display only, with charts, with a transducer, or with both. Not every chart card fits every plotter, either.
Check before you buy:
- The part number includes the charts and transducer you expect.
- It reads the charts you want, and you know how long their updates last, since many come with a one-year subscription.
- A touchscreen suits your helm, since Raymarine warns that prolonged rain or water wash can cause false touches.
