From our buying guide
The impeller depends on the pump, so find it by the pump's model number. Makers' schedules differ, with some saying every year and others every 300 hours or three years, so go by the one for your engine.
Check before you buy:
- It matches your old one on blade count, shaft diameter, outside diameter, material, drive type and depth.
- You've checked any substitute against the pump housing, since cross-references are the makers' own claims.
- The material suits the job. Jabsco recommends neoprene for engine cooling, and nitrile for bilge pumping and water with oil or diesel.
