The Polyform G1 is a blue utility fender measuring 3.5 inches in diameter and 12.8 inches long. It is the smallest size in the G Series and has a molded-in ribbed design. The rope hold area is reinforced and the walls are an even thickness. Each fender is inflated and tested at the factory. Only the four largest G sizes have inflation valves, so the G1 does not have one.

Polyform says to use at least three fenders when docking, and Taylor Made's rule of thumb is one for every 10 ft of waterline per side. Both makers hedge their size charts, so allow for your boat and where you moor.

- The size is on that maker's own chart for your boat's length.
- Your fender line suits the eye, since Polyform says too small a line can cut through a vinyl eye.
- You'll inflate it to the maker's figure, since two makers say over-inflating voids the warranty.
