The ECHOMAP Ultra 2 166sv is a touchscreen chartplotter with a 15.6 inch diagonal full HD display at 1920 x 1080 pixels. It comes with a GT56UHD-TM transducer and Navionics+ mapping, which includes a 1-year subscription for daily updates. Sonar is built in, covering CHIRP traditional sonar plus ClearVü and SideVü scanning. It also supports the LiveScope line, with those transducers sold separately. It joins an NMEA 2000 network for heading sensors and autopilots, and the unit is rated IPX7. It weighs 9.5 lbs.
Our take
The 15.6 inch, 1920 x 1080 screen gives you a lot of room to split charts and sonar side by side. At 9.5 lbs and 16.9 by 10.5 inches, it also needs a solid, roomy console to carry it.
