The ProSportHD 44008 is an on-board waterproof battery charger rated at 8 amps across 2 banks. It runs from 120V AC and puts out 12/24V DC, and it handles Group 24 to 31 flooded, AGM and GEL batteries with selectable charge profiles. Charging is five-stage and automatic, including a monthly recondition during storage. Our take
The Distributed-On-Demand design sends unused amps from one bank to the other, so the full 8 amps keeps working while one battery tops off. At 5.2 lbs and pre-wired with 6 ft cables, it's an easy unit to mount and hook up.

NMMA says charging sources must meet the charging profile the battery maker recommends. A charger's presets are its own maker's, not the battery's, so set it from the battery maker's figures.
