The Bluestorm Kinetic is a Type III, Coast Guard-approved kayak fishing vest in Deep Blue, size S/M, sized for a 30 to 36 inch chest. Its kinetic mobility system lets the webbing stretch with each paddle stroke. It has 8 points of adjustment, 2 large tabletop pockets with internal organization, quick access pockets and multiple attachment points for tools and accessories. The foam is sculpted PVC.
Our take
The Kinetic webbing is built to stretch and move with every paddle stroke, so the straps give with your motion instead of staying fixed. Eight points of adjustment let you set the fit to your body before you head out.
From our buying guide
US rules count Coast Guard-approved jackets. One approved only to European or ISO standards doesn't meet the US carriage rules, however good it is.
Check before you buy:
- The approval number is on the label, and the jacket fits you as that label marks.
- You're getting the US version, since some jackets are sold in two.
- If it's Level 50, it only counts toward what you must carry when it's worn.
