This is Victron's SmartSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr VE.Can solar charge controller. It is rated for 100 A of charge current and accepts a maximum panel open-circuit voltage of 250 V. Battery voltage is selected automatically between 12 V, 24 V and 48 V, and Bluetooth is built in. Nominal panel power is 1,450 W at 12 V and 5,800 W at 48 V. The VE.Can port lets up to 25 units be daisy chained, and the enclosure is rated IP22 around the connection area and IP43 for the electronics.
Our take
A 100 A rated charge current with 1,450 W of nominal panel power at 12 V sets the array size this controller is rated for on a 12 V bank. The 5,800 W figure at 48 V shows that the panel rating rises with battery voltage.
