This is a short RJ12 UTP cable from Victron Energy, sold in a 0.3 m length. It links the BMV shunt with the BMV head unit, the two parts of a BMV battery monitor. A standard RJ12 cable already comes with the BMV monitor. This one is a swap for when the supplied lead turns out to be the wrong length, and the range runs from 0.3 to 30 meters.

The 0.3 m length is the short end of a range reaching 30 meters. Since a BMV already comes with an RJ12 cable, this one is for the case where the supplied lead is the wrong length, and its job is the shunt to head unit link.
