This is Victron's Phoenix Inverter 48/375 120V with VE.Direct and a NEMA 5-15R AC outlet socket. It is built for a nominal 48 V battery and takes a DC input range of 36.8 to 62 V. Continuous output is 300 W at 25°C and 375 VA with a nonlinear load, with a peak rating of 700 W. Zero-load power is 8.5 W, which drops to 2.6 W in ECO mode.
Our take
The 8.5 W zero-load power is what the inverter draws from the 48 V bank with nothing connected, and the 2.6 W figure in ECO mode shows how far that can be brought down. Next to a 300 W continuous rating, that idle draw is worth planning around.
From our buying guide
On a boat subpart I covers, an electrical component must not ignite fuel vapor around it unless it is isolated from gasoline fuel sources. Ignition protection is the maker's statement.
Check before you buy:
- It can follow your battery's profile, since not every charger can follow a lithium maker's.
- On a boat subpart I covers, each ungrounded output conductor from a battery needs a manually reset, trip-free circuit breaker or fuse within 72 inches of the battery.
