This is Victron Energy's Outdoor LTE-M puck antenna, supplied with a 3 m cable. It is an outdoor antenna in a puck form. Victron also lists an ISO9001 certificate with it. Gain, mounting method and supported bands are not given, so they need checking with Victron before relying on it.
Our take
The 3 m cable on this outdoor LTE-M puck antenna sets how far from the connected unit it can sit. Gain, mounting method and supported bands are not given, so those need checking separately.
From our buying guide
On a boat subpart I covers, an electrical component must not ignite fuel vapor around it unless it is isolated from gasoline fuel sources. Ignition protection is the maker's statement.
Check before you buy:
- 33 CFR 183 subpart I applies to boats that have a gasoline engine, except an outboard, so a gasoline generator counts.
- On a boat subpart I covers, each ungrounded output conductor from a battery needs a manually reset, trip-free circuit breaker or fuse within 72 inches of the battery.
