The Orion-Tr 24/24-12A is an isolated DC-DC converter from Victron Energy. It takes a 24 V supply anywhere in a 16 to 35 V input range and delivers 24 V, with galvanic isolation between the two sides. Continuous output is 12 A, which works out to 320 W at 25°C and 280 W at 40°C. The blue case is rated IP43 and the DC side uses screw terminals, with a separate two-pole remote on/off terminal.
Our take
The remote on/off terminal means the input wiring needs no heavy-duty switch, since a small switch or the engine run/stop signal can control the unit. The IP43 rating holds only with the screw terminals pointing down, so mount it with that in mind.
