The Victron Orion IP67 24/12-20A converts a 24 V supply down to 12 V. It accepts an input from 15 to 40 V and delivers 20 A continuously. The casing is cast aluminium, rated IP67, with the electronics moulded in resin. Output falls by 3 % per °C once the temperature passes 40°C, so the full 20 A is only there below that. Worth knowing if it sits somewhere warm.
Our take
The 3 % per degree output derating above 40°C is the figure to plan around: in a warm space the full 20 A will not be there. The IP67 rating and resin-moulded electronics mean damp is not the worry with this 24 to 12 V converter.
