The Victron MultiPlus 12/3000/120-50 120V is the UL 1741 and 458 version of this combined inverter and charger for 12 V banks. It makes a 120 VAC output, charges at up to 120 A at 25 °C ambient, and has a 50 A AC transfer switch rating. Peak output is 6,000 W. Continuous output is 2,400 W at 25 °C, 2,200 W at 40 °C and 1,700 W at 65 °C, and up to four units can run in parallel.
Our take
On this 120 V unit, continuous output slides from 2,400 W at 25 °C to 1,700 W at 65 °C, so a warm install gets noticeably less than the cool-room figure. The 120 A charge rating likewise holds only up to 25 °C ambient.
