The MultiPlus 12/2000/80-50 120V VE.Bus is a combined inverter and charger for 12 V battery systems. It supplies 120 VAC, with a peak power rating of 4,000 W and 1,600 W continuous at 25°C. On the charging side it delivers up to 80 A, and its transfer switch is rated at 50 A. Up to 4 units can run in parallel when more output is needed.
Our take
Continuous output of 1,600 W at 25°C drops to 1,100 W at 65°C, so a hot engine space costs this MultiPlus real capacity. The 80 A charge current is the other number to plan around when sizing a 12 V bank.
