This is Victron's Inv.24/250 120V VE.Direct inverter with a NEMA 5-15R AC outlet socket. It runs from a nominal 24 V battery and accepts a DC input range of 18.4 to 34 V. It is rated for 200 W continuous output at 25°C and 250 VA with a nonlinear load, with a peak rating of 400 W. Zero-load power is 5.2 W, and an adjustable ECO mode brings that down to 1.3 W.
Our take
The 5.2 W zero-load draw is a constant drain on the 24 V battery whenever the inverter is on with nothing plugged in, and the adjustable ECO mode figure of 1.3 W shows how far that idle draw can come down.
From our buying guide
On a boat subpart I covers, an electrical component must not ignite fuel vapor around it unless it is isolated from gasoline fuel sources. Ignition protection is the maker's statement.
Check before you buy:
- It can follow your battery's profile, since not every charger can follow a lithium maker's.
- On a boat subpart I covers, each ungrounded output conductor from a battery needs a manually reset, trip-free circuit breaker or fuse within 72 inches of the battery.
