This Victron Energy VE.Direct cable is the 0,9m version, with a right angle connector on one side only. The right angle end changes which way the lead leaves the plug. Victron offers the VE.Direct cable in a range of lengths, and in both straight and 90 degree angle models, so this is one specific variant of a wider family.
Our take
The right angle connector on one side makes this 0,9m VE.Direct cable leave that end sideways instead of straight out. At 0,9m the reach is short, and the range lists other lengths for longer runs.
From our buying guide
On a boat subpart I covers, an electrical component must not ignite fuel vapor around it unless it is isolated from gasoline fuel sources. Ignition protection is the maker's statement.
Check before you buy:
- 33 CFR 183 subpart I applies to boats that have a gasoline engine, except an outboard, so a gasoline generator counts.
- On a boat subpart I covers, each ungrounded output conductor from a battery needs a manually reset, trip-free circuit breaker or fuse within 72 inches of the battery.
