The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/45 is an MPPT solar charge controller with a rated charge current of 45 A and a maximum PV open circuit voltage of 150 V. It selects 12, 24 or 48 V battery voltage automatically and reaches 98 % maximum efficiency. Nominal PV power is 650 W at 12 V. Bluetooth is built in, and it works across a -30 to 60 degrees C operating range. The case is IP43 for the electronics and IP22 at the connection area.
Our take
The 45 A charge rating with a 150 V open circuit limit sets what this SmartSolar MPPT can handle, and auto-selecting 12, 24 or 48 V means one unit fits any of those banks. The connection area is only IP22, so keep the terminals out of the wet.
