The Victron Smart IP43 Charger 24/25 (1+1) is a 24 V battery charger with 25 A of nominal charge current and a 4 A output for a starter battery. It accepts 58 to 250 VAC, and the AC cord is a separate item. Charging follows an adaptive 6-stage algorithm, with Bluetooth and VE.Direct for communication. A temperature sensor is optional. The enclosure is rated IP43, and a programmable SPDT relay is built in.
Our take
The 4 A starter battery output on this 24/25 charger lets it top up a second battery alongside the main 25 A bank. With an IP43 rating and a separate AC cord, it is a charger to plan the mounting and cabling around.
From our buying guide
NMMA says charging sources must meet the charging profile the battery maker recommends. A charger's presets are its own maker's, not the battery's, so set it from the battery maker's figures.
Check before you buy:
- It can follow your battery's profile, since not every charger can follow a lithium maker's.
- Its output suits your bank. ProMariner recommends about 10 percent of the batteries' total amp-hour capacity, with one charger output for each battery.
- It suits how you'll use it, since ProMariner says its waterproof chargers are for batteries not in use while charging.
