The Quattro-II 24/3000/70-50/50 2x120V is a Victron inverter-charger for a 24 V battery bank. It gives 2,400 W of continuous output at 25°C with a 5,500 W peak, and charges at up to 70 A. Output is 120 VAC, and the transfer switch is rated at 50 A. It takes two AC inputs and connects to whichever one is active.
Our take
Continuous output is 2,400 W at 25°C but 1,700 W at 65°C. In a hot machinery space, plan the loads around the lower figure, not the headline one, since the inverter gives up a good share of its output as it warms.
From our buying guide
On a boat subpart I covers, an electrical component must not ignite fuel vapor around it unless it is isolated from gasoline fuel sources. Ignition protection is the maker's statement.
Check before you buy:
- It can follow your battery's profile, since not every charger can follow a lithium maker's.
- On a boat subpart I covers, each ungrounded output conductor from a battery needs a manually reset, trip-free circuit breaker or fuse within 72 inches of the battery.
