The Victron Busbar 250A 4P is a tin plated copper busbar rated for 250 A at up to 70 V DC. The bar measures 5mm x 24mm and carries stainless steel terminals 8 mm in diameter. A black ABS base with a UL 94 V-0 fire rating holds the bar. Busbars like this one are used for high current distribution, giving batteries and DC equipment common connection points.
Our take
The 5mm x 24mm tin plated copper bar is rated for 250 A, so everything sharing this busbar has to stay inside that figure. The 70 V DC limit rules it out for any higher-voltage system.
From our buying guide
On a boat subpart I covers, each ungrounded output conductor from a battery needs a manually reset, trip-free circuit breaker or fuse within 72 inches of the battery.
Check before you buy:
- On a boat subpart I covers, a continuously energized ungrounded terminal needs a boot, nipple, cap, cover or shield.
- Ignition protection on a charger or switch is the maker's statement, so read what it says and which standard it names.
