The Busbar 150A 4P is a Victron busbar for distributing DC current, supplied with a clear cover. It is rated for 150 A at up to 70 V DC, and the bar is a thin strip of tin plated copper measuring 1.4mm x 18mm. The terminals are stainless steel, 6.35 mm in diameter. The base carries a UL 94 V-0 fire rating, while the clear cover is rated UL 94 HB.
Our take
At 1.4mm x 18mm, the tin plated copper bar carries a 150 A rating, and that figure caps the total current through the bar. The 6.35 mm stainless terminals and 70 V DC limit set the sizes of lug and system it can serve.
From our buying guide
On a boat subpart I covers, each ungrounded output conductor from a battery needs a manually reset, trip-free circuit breaker or fuse within 72 inches of the battery.
Check before you buy:
- On a boat subpart I covers, a continuously energized ungrounded terminal needs a boot, nipple, cap, cover or shield.
- Ignition protection on a charger or switch is the maker's statement, so read what it says and which standard it names.
