The Taylor Made LineSaver 308 is a rubber mooring snubber sized for 5/8 inch line. The rubber is a super-elastic isoprene, and the unit is there to take up the sudden jolts and extra stretch that can part a mooring line. It needs no tools to install, and its self-locking internal system eliminates chafing on the line. The maker also says it guards against the stress from wind, waves and wakes.
