This Shurflo 8000 series diaphragm pump and motor unit runs on 12 volts DC and has an automatic demand switch. The pump is self priming and can be mounted in any position. Inlet and discharge ports are both 3/8 inch NPT. The pressure switch control pressure is 100 PSI, and the motor comes with 12.5 inch 16AWG wires and a switch.

Size a freshwater pump by the outlets that must run at once. Jabsco's rule of thumb is 1 GPM per outlet, and the listed flow is open flow, which falls as pressure rises.
Check before you buy:
- The data sheet shows flow at pressure. One Shurflo gives 4.0 GPM at 0 psi and 2.0 GPM at 40 psi.
- You have an inlet strainer, which Jabsco says is required in every freshwater pump installation.
- An accumulator suits the pump. Jabsco says one cuts cycling on a pressure-switch system, and not to use its accumulators with variable-speed pumps.
