The Raritan P102E12 is a 12 volt DC electric marine toilet with a white household style bowl. It uses a double action piston pump that pulls in fresh flush water while it sends the waste out, and a cartridge seal in the pump housing is meant to extend its life. The pump can be fitted on the right or left side, and the toilet can be installed above or below the waterline. An air vent eases pumping in the dry position.

The pump mounts on either side and the toilet can sit above or below the waterline, so the layout of the head compartment gives you more choice about where it goes. The cartridge seal in the pump housing is there to extend pump life.

A vessel with installed toilet facilities must have an operable marine sanitation device that is labeled or certified. EPA says untreated sewage may not be discharged within three miles from shore, and in a No Discharge Zone treated sewage may not be either.
Check before you buy:
- You have what it needs, since heads may call for 12-volt power, through-hulls and seacocks, or a separate vacuum source.
- It fits the compartment, since Jabsco says an electric toilet needs more space at the rear than a manual one.
- If it could sit below the waterline, you'll fit a vented loop as the maker specifies, since Jabsco warns the vent, not the loop, is what stops the siphon.
