The Racor B32013 is a spin-on gasoline fuel filter assembly with a see-thru bowl, made as a replacement for fuel filters on Mercury outboard engines. It carries a 10 micron element and is rated at 60 GPH. The pleated media is built to repel water, and the thread size is 11/16"-16. The assembly is 6 3/4 in. long and 3 3/4 in. across, with a drain knob under the bowl. The replacement element is P/N S3213. It is not meant for inboard or stern drive engines.
Our take
The B32013 pairs a 10 micron element with a 60 GPH rating, and the see-thru bowl with a drain knob lets you look for water and drain it from the bottom. It is gasoline only and not for inboard or stern drive engines, so check your engine first.
From our buying guide
Parker lists Racor's marine Turbine Series for diesel and biodiesel engines, and Racor says gasoline filters in an enclosed location should use a metal bowl. A micron rating means little without its efficiency.
Check before you buy:
- The efficiency is stated with the micron size. Racor labels its finest element 2 micron and rates it at 98% at 4 microns.
- You know your engine's change interval, since intervals are per model.
- You can fit it on the suction side of the fuel transfer pump, where Racor says to install its 900MA and 1000MA, since pumps emulsify water.
