The ProTechOne is a 4 amp onboard battery charger and maintainer from ProMariner. It charges in automatic multiple stages and has a push-to-test LED gauge for checking battery status. The case is gasketed for outdoor use, and the DC side has a waterproof safety fuse. It is ignition protected and FCC Class A, which keeps radio interference down.
Our take
The waterproof DC safety fuse protects the DC wiring, so the cable to the battery is fused with a part built for damp conditions. With ignition protection and a 4 amp output, it is a small charger meant to live aboard.
