The ProSportHD 10 Gen 4 is a two-bank marine battery charger from ProMariner with two 12 V outputs at 10 amps, fully distributed. It uses fully automatic 5-stage charging and has a selectable profile for flooded, AGM or gel batteries. It is certified to Marine UL 1236, comes with 6 ft AC and DC cables, and is not portable. The maker gives it a 3 year warranty.
Our take
Two 12 V outputs at 10 amps, fully distributed, mean the ProSportHD 10 can pass spare current to whichever battery needs it. Three selectable profiles for flooded, AGM and gel let you match the charge to the bank you have.
From our buying guide
NMMA says charging sources must meet the charging profile the battery maker recommends. A charger's presets are its own maker's, not the battery's, so set it from the battery maker's figures.
Check before you buy:
- It can follow your battery's profile, since not every charger can follow a lithium maker's.
- Its output suits your bank. ProMariner recommends about 10 percent of the batteries' total amp-hour capacity, with one charger output for each battery.
- It suits how you'll use it, since ProMariner says its waterproof chargers are for batteries not in use while charging.
