Our take
The 2 nautical mile visibility and the 65 ft (20 m) vessel limit mark out what this pair covers: boats under that length. With the 12 volt bulb included and gold plated contacts, the electrical end is sorted from the start.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
