This Perko pole light shows a white all-round light from a fold-down mount. It has a white translucent globe and a black plastic base on a 3/4 inch anodized aluminum tube, and it stands 14 inches tall. It is certified for sail or power vessels under 20 meters and gives 2-mile visibility. The base has a notch for through-base wiring, and a 12V bulb is included.
Our take
The fold-down adjustable angle on this Perko pole light lets you lower the 14 inch light when you need it out of the way, and the USCG certification covers sail or power vessels under 20 meters. The 12V bulb is included.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
