Our take
At 1.28 watts on 12V DC, this all-round LED pole light asks very little of the boat's electrical system, and it carries a 2 nm USCG certification for power vessels under 20 meters. The 42 inch pole fits the listed Perko plug-in bases.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
