This is the white stern light from Lumitec's Contour inset navigation line, in a white housing. It is made to be set into tops, arches and pilothouses for a flush look. It is Coast Guard approved for a 2 nm range on vessels up to 50 m (165 feet) and runs on 10 to 30 V DC, drawing 67 mA at 12 V and 33 mA at 24 V. The body is rated IP67 and is 1 inch high, so it takes little depth. It is CE certified but not UL certified.
Our take
Drawing only 67 mA at 12 V and 33 mA at 24 V, this inset stern light adds very little to the circuit, and the 1 inch height keeps the mounting depth small. The Coast Guard approval is for 2 nm, and there is no UL certification.
