The 301-011 is a Lopolight LED masthead light in the slimmer vertical-mount style, finished in silver. It is rated for 5 nautical miles over a 225 degree white arc and certified for vessels from 20 m to 50 m. The housing is machined aluminum, it mounts on vertical surfaces, and it is supplied with a 2.3 ft connection cable. Current draw is listed for both 12V and 24V systems.
Our take
Its 5 nautical mile rating and certification for 20 m to 50 m vessels place this masthead light on bigger boats. Current draw is listed for 12V and 24V, so it can go on either system, and it comes with a 2.3 ft cable fitted.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
