The Lopolight 201-021-FB is a 3NM masthead/360° navigation light with a white LED in a silver anodized aluminum housing. It runs on 10-32VDC and has an IP rating of IP68. The FB base uses O-rings to keep the cable dry. It has 2 locking screw positions and needs only one lock screw. It does not fit the K-lock mounting system.
Our take
The O-rings in the FB base keep the cable dry, and the IP68 rating covers the light itself. It will not fit K-lock mounts, so a boat with an existing K-lock base would need its mounting changed.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
