This is Lewmar's 50 mm Synchro fiddle block, fitted with a swivel, a becket and a cam. The strap is stainless steel, and the cheeks are made of stiff, glass fibre reinforced material. The swivel has a sliding lock that works without tools, so the head can be fixed or left free by hand. The stiff cheeks are there to keep a line from jamming against the side of the block.

The sliding swivel lock on this 50 mm block needs no tools, so the head can be locked or freed with a hand. The stainless strap is there for strength and service life, and the stiff cheeks keep a line from wedging.
