The Lewmar 40CST is a size 40 self-tailing winch in chrome with two speeds. It takes line from 5/16 to 1/2 inch, and the self-tailing jaws hold the line under load. Power ratios are 13:1 in first gear and 40:1 in second, with gear ratios of 1.9:1 and 5.8:1. The base measures 5-13/16 inches across, the winch stands 6-13/16 inches tall and it weighs 14.3 lbs. The main gear shafts are stainless steel, and the winch can be stripped by hand for servicing with no tools.
