The Johnson Pump Aqua Void is a 12V cartridge bilge pump rated at 500 GPH. The motor and impeller come as one compact unit with a 316 stainless steel shaft, and the motor is water-cooled for long service intervals. It meets ISO 8849 and includes a straight and a 90° elbow discharge fitting plus a removable check valve. The cartridge motor connects through an included harness, so changing it needs no cutting or splicing of wires. The warranty is limited to 3 years.

The motor is a cartridge on a harness connection, so swapping it, or stepping up to the 800 GPH capacity, needs no wire cutting. Water cooling and a 316 stainless shaft point to a pump built for long service intervals.

Rule and Johnson both say their bilge pumps are not intended for damage control. Flow falls as the discharge head rises, and the length of the hose, its bends and any check valve reduce it further.

- The maker's own table shows the flow at head, since how much a pump loses depends on the model.
