The Johnson Pump Aqua Jet 10-13395-103 is a 12V DC water pressure pump rated at 3.5 GPM. It has a five-chamber pump head and an integrated by-pass valve, and it is self-priming to 6.5 ft. A pressure switch is standard, set to 25 psi on and 40 psi off. The pump draws 2.5 A and the maker lists a 10 A fuse. Johnson recommends an accumulator tank in the system and an inlet strainer ahead of the pump.

The 3.5 GPM rating, 2.5 A draw and 25/40 psi pressure switch make the 10-13395-103 a modest 12V pressure pump, with the five-chamber head as the maker's route to low noise and pulsation. Fit the accumulator tank and inlet strainer the maker calls for.

Size a freshwater pump by the outlets that must run at once. Jabsco's rule of thumb is 1 GPM per outlet, and the listed flow is open flow, which falls as pressure rises.
Check before you buy:
- The data sheet shows flow at pressure. One Shurflo gives 4.0 GPM at 0 psi and 2.0 GPM at 40 psi.
- You have an inlet strainer, which Jabsco says is required in every freshwater pump installation.
- An accumulator suits the pump. Jabsco says one cuts cycling on a pressure-switch system, and not to use its accumulators with variable-speed pumps.
