The Jabsco Par-Max HD6 is a freshwater delivery pump for 12V DC systems, rated at 6 GPM and 40 PSI. An integrated sealed pressure switch lets it run on demand. The pump is self-priming and can run dry without damage. An integrated bypass module reduces cycling and smooths the flow, quick connect ports ease installation and servicing, and vibration dampening feet are fitted to the base.

Size a freshwater pump by the outlets that must run at once. Jabsco's rule of thumb is 1 GPM per outlet, and the listed flow is open flow, which falls as pressure rises.
Check before you buy:
- The data sheet shows flow at pressure. One Shurflo gives 4.0 GPM at 0 psi and 2.0 GPM at 40 psi.
- You have an inlet strainer, which Jabsco says is required in every freshwater pump installation.
- An accumulator suits the pump. Jabsco says one cuts cycling on a pressure-switch system, and not to use its accumulators with variable-speed pumps.
