Approvals include IMO, RINA, USCG, ABYC A-16 and Maritime NZ, and it is compliant with ABYC C-5.
Our take
The port and starboard NaviLEDs draw less than 2 watts together, so the lights add very little to the boat's electrical load. The unit is sealed to IP67 with no bulb, and it takes anything from 9 to 33 volts DC.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
