The Groco ARG-500-P is a 1/2 inch raw water strainer with a non-metallic plastic basket. The head is C84400 bronze casting, and a one-piece molded sight glass replaces tie rods and gaskets. The cap is non-metallic and magnifies the view inside. The strainer mounts so it can be removed without tools. O-rings seal all joining surfaces and there is a bonding connection on both sides. It is UL Listed 255-D.
Our take
The one-piece molded sight glass on the ARG-500-P removes the tie rods and gaskets, and the magnifying cap gives a clearer view inside the strainer. This version carries a plastic basket, not a metal one.
