The ECHOMAP 64SV UHD2 is a Garmin chartplotter and fishfinder with a 6 inch touchscreen at 800 x 480 pixels. It carries SideVü, ClearVü and CHIRP sonar, and this version comes without a transducer. Preloaded charts include LakeVü g3 inland maps and Navionics+ U.S. Coastal and Great Lakes mapping. Built-in Wi-Fi pairs with a mobile app, and a microSD slot takes cards up to 32 GB.

Our take

The 800 x 480 pixel screen is modest, but the SideVü and ClearVü sonar views show structure beside and below the boat. This version has no transducer, so one must be bought and fitted before the sonar does anything.

From our buying guide

What's in the box depends on the part number: Raymarine sells one screen display only, with charts, with a transducer, or with both. Not every chart card fits every plotter, either.

Check before you buy:

  • The part number includes the charts and transducer you expect.
  • It reads the charts you want, and you know how long their updates last, since many come with a one-year subscription.
  • A touchscreen suits your helm, since Raymarine warns that prolonged rain or water wash can cause false touches.
