The Garmin ECHOMAP 54CV UHD2 is a 5 inch chartplotter with an 800 x 480 pixel display, paired with a GT20-TM transducer. It carries ClearVü and CHIRP sonar, plus multi-band GPS to improve position accuracy where signals are reflected or weak. Built-in Wi-Fi pairs with a free mobile app, a microSD card up to 32 GB expands memory, and the unit withstands incidental water exposure up to 1 meter.
Our take
ClearVü scanning sonar paired with traditional CHIRP gives two views below the boat: CHIRP for fish arches, and ClearVü for fish and structure under the hull. The 800 x 480 pixel screen is where both are shown.
