The Dometic 321 Series is a white, low profile foot-flush toilet that stands 14 inches tall. It has a deep, 100 percent vitreous ceramic bowl and a full-size residential-style wood seat. A pedal does the work: press partway to add water, press all the way to flush. Each flush uses one pint, and a 360 degree rim wash rinses the bowl. This version comes without a hand sprayer and carries a limited 2 year warranty.

The two-stage foot pedal is the feature to understand: a partial press adds water and a full press flushes, so you work the bowl with your foot. At one pint per flush, the water used each time is modest, and that is worth knowing if you pump or carry your own supply.

A vessel with installed toilet facilities must have an operable marine sanitation device that is labeled or certified. EPA says untreated sewage may not be discharged within three miles from shore, and in a No Discharge Zone treated sewage may not be either.
Check before you buy:
- You have what it needs, since heads may call for 12-volt power, through-hulls and seacocks, or a separate vacuum source.
- It fits the compartment, since Jabsco says an electric toilet needs more space at the rear than a manual one.
- If it could sit below the waterline, you'll fit a vented loop as the maker specifies, since Jabsco warns the vent, not the loop, is what stops the siphon.
