The Bushnell Spectator Sport 8x32 is a roof prism binocular with 8x magnification and 32mm objective lenses. It is part of Bushnell's Spectator Sport line. It carries the Bushnell Standard Lifetime Limited Warranty, and Bushnell provides a binocular instruction manual for this model as well, so the care and adjustment details come from the maker.
Our take
The 8x32 roof prism layout is backed by Bushnell's Standard Lifetime Limited Warranty. Confirm water resistance and weight with Bushnell before choosing it for wet deck use.
From our buying guide
Steiner calls 7x the marine standard. Higher magnification narrows the field of view and makes the image more sensitive to hand shake.
Check before you buy:
- The water rating comes with its depth and time, since ratings vary widely between makers.
- The maker says what floats, the body or only a strap, since some make no flotation claim at all.
- A stabilised pair has a water rating you're happy with, since not every one carries a waterproof rating.
