This Attwood bi-color light combines red and green in one head on a universal-fit pole. The pole has a 2-pin locking collar, and an 8-watt wedge-base lamp is included. It is rated for boats up to 39.4 feet (12 m) in length. The red and green head shows both colours from a single fitting, and the rating applies to vessels within that length.
Our take
The red and green bi-color head on a 2-pin locking collar pole is what defines this Attwood light. It is rated for boats up to 39.4 feet (12 m) and includes its 8-watt wedge-base lamp, so beyond that length it is outside the stated rating.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
