This is Attwood's all-round navigation light on a 54 inch articulating pole. It gives 360 degree visibility at two miles and is intended for boats up to 39.4 ft (12 m). The pole is removable on a 2-pin locking collar and folds in half for stowage. The light takes a 9-watt wedge-base lamp and has an anti-glare lens.
Our take
The 54 inch pole matters because an all-round light has to sit at least 39-3/8 inches above the sidelights, and some boats can't manage that with a short mount. Since it folds in half and lifts out on a locking collar, you can stow it when you're not running at night.
From our buying guide
The lights a boat must show depend on its length and how it's being driven. A sailboat under power is a power-driven vessel and shows power-driven lights.
Check before you buy:
- The label gives its visibility in nautical miles, and that range meets the minimum for your boat's length.
- The maker rates it for boats of your length.
- A replacement LED is certified with the fixture it's going into, since the Coast Guard warns that replacement lighting may not meet the rules.
